Dear brothers and sisters,
Self control is one of the nine fruit of the Holy Spirit and it is very important for us to cultivate this fruit from the Holy Spirit by working hard in our spiritual life.
Self control means controlling the things which are bad in life which will lead us to addiction in wrong things which will make us pay the price for the sin committed every day in our lives.
Addiction to sin is a very big burden in our life because we think it is good and we move forward to do it every day, so the solution this problem is clear that we need to plead to the Holy Spirit to help us to cultivate His fruit of self control so that we can lead our spiritual life in a worthy manner though which we can reach safely to our final destination that is heaven.
Self control helps us to overcome sin especially anger, jealousy and hatred towards others. Anger is cultivated by each and every one of us but we need to control the anger that is within us and not react on the situation which causes us anger. We just need to surrender all our anger to the Lord and not think and act on it otherwise further more it will cause us to sin and to pay the price of sin which is a great burden in our spiritual life .
Dear brothers and sisters we need to ask the Holy Spirit to shower on us His blessing because we need the fruit of the Holy Spirit which is self control otherwise we will be led away from God and fall in the hands of the devil.
By falling to the trap of devil most of us cultivate one or the other addictions in our life which will easily lead us to sin. We are all will be like chained or tied when we are in the sin of addiction because of that we will not be able to experience freedom for months and years unless we make up our mind to ask the Holy Spirit to grant us the fruit of self-control. Amen.
