TOPIC: Jealousy

Dear brothers and sisters in Jesus Christ,

Jealously has become a biggest crisis in our lives it is a deadly mortal sin that effects our spiritual and also physical life. The reason behind why jealously has become a burden in our life is that there is no satisfaction in what is provided to us by God but there is excessive greediness of acquiring more than what is required.

 

The problem behind it is that we are greedy and selfish and because of that we try to cast our eyes on others belongings. Another important thing is that now a day’s interference in useless matters has become a habit and routine in most of our life and we try to put our mind and heart in this evil world and because of this we regret afterwards once we suffer terribly.

Dear brothers and sisters Gods message for us today is that God wants us to be humble and not jealous because we have to be satisfied with what we have and not move over the limit of what is needed.

The most important matter in this topic we need to understand is that we have not come to this world to save money and become the richest but rather we have come to this world to save our soul from the fires of hell and earn Gods love in our life because nothing in this world is guaranteed but the judgement at the end of the day is guaranteed on the basis of how we live our life so to pas the judgement in peace we need to change our life style.

We also need to understand that we have a lot of desires in our life but all of it cannot be fulfilled, some might be fulfilled, some might be fulfilled later or some may not be fulfilled due to some other plans bestowed by God on us.

In our daily life if we are not able to correct ourselves and live properly but rather we are interested in the welfare of others life and that is why jealously comes because of the eagerness to possess the belongings of others.

Stubbornness has become too much in our lives that is the main reason we are jealous about others blessing and not working hard for our blessings. In the bible we see in the book of Genesis that when Cain and Abel offered their offerings to the Lord, the Lord accepted Abel’s offering and did not regard Cains offering so in anger and jealously Cain killed his brother Abel.

Now dear brothers and sisters what do we understand in this context we need to know that God did not accept Cains offering for a reason and the reason is that God wanted to test him but eventually Cain failed to pass the test and killed his brother Abel. Jealously is a big and deadly sin that combines many other sins like anger, gossiping, murder. Murder has become a big and dreadful matter now days because of jealously. The thing is we desire too much for wealth and riches which will fade away once we die but the desire to do good will be missing in our lives.

 

So dear brothers and sisters let us not desire to live like this evil world but rather let us have the urging desire to serve God and lead a holy life. we need to acknowledge that we should be satisfied and happy with what we have and then only God will bless us with more if required because we can see the same thing in the bible when Jesus told us the parable of talents that in which a master entrusted the slave with talent with the first he gave five talents and to the second two talents and to the third he gave one. Two of the slaves worked hard and multiplied the talents but the slave that was given one talent was lazy and jealous because he was given less than all the other slaves and that is why the because of his foolishness he was punished terribly.

So dear brothers and sister we should be fit in our spiritual life and alert always because temptations and tests come in different forms which we will not know if we don’t change our life today otherwise when the test comes we will face it usually by failing in it because of living in evil. So let not be jealous and greedy but let us be humble and loving with everyone around us and we will understand the call of God and become Gods servants in the accordance of serving Him with joyful hearts. Amen.

TOPIC: POLITENESS

Dear brothers and sisters in Jesus Christ,

Politeness has become an extinct matter in our lives. Politeness is a humble manner of speech which most of us don’t have the habit of doing so.

Many of us are rude in our speech and speak a lot of careless words. God tells in bible that for every careless word we utter we will be judged.

Dear brothers and sisters many worst situations occur in our life but many of us fall into fear, depression, anger etc. and due to this we are not able to control ourselves and without thinking we speak carelessly. We need to understand there is judgement for every mistake we do but what matters the most is to accept our mistake and repent because repenting and changing is very important in our lives to reach heaven.

Dear brothers and sisters Jesus is inspiring today to be kind and polite to everyone because if we do this we don’t need to desire anything else in life because it is a great task. Every word has power, whatever we speak is accountable on the basis of what we speak.

So dear brothers and sisters we need to be alert and conscious about our thoughts so that we may not speak everything what we think we need to exercise our mind in spirituality and be strong in controlling it.

Without spirituality we won’t be always alert and without thinking we become impolite towards everyone around us, dear brothers and sister we are not come to this world to be masters of everyone rather we have come to this earth to accomplish the mission that what God wants from us and also especially to serve mankind. When serve others politeness comes as a part in our mission because it is the manner of how we speak. In the manner of being polite there are so many things to do we need to have love towards everyone whether young or old good or bad we need to have equal love for everyone this what is very important thing that we have to follow as true followers of Christ secondly when we do all this we shouldn’t have expectations and  sense of pride and have the mind to be greater than others but we should leave our bad habits and cultivate good habits by being patient and by doing this we can achieve good control over our thoughts.

So dear brothers and sisters politeness is one of the best way of serving everyone because Jesus said in the bible that without serving others we cannot serve God because this earthly life is a test and by serving others automatically we will find it easy to serve God because when we serve God need to be perfect and to be perfect we need to be trained in the love of God by serving and being polite to one another  so in this way we can become true followers of Christ and will be forgiven for the sins committed by us because of being impolite and let us be alert and serve others and God. Amen.

TOPIC: SELFISHNESS

 

Dear brothers and sisters,

Selfishness is a deadly sin that most of us struggle to get out of it. Selfishness is deadly sin; if we cultivate it in our life we will be doomed because of not getting satisfied in what we do hence we become greedy.

Dear brothers and sisters now a day’s money has become our life and because of this we will go to any extent to make more money but we don’t know what we are doing because there is no sense of spirituality in us and also the most important thing is that prayer is not to be seen in our lives.

God has given us wealth not to use it only for our selfish needs but to use it in accordance of what is required and to share it the ones who do not have. Now a days this world is becoming so selfish which is a disastrous matter in Gods sight.

Today God is reminding that we have not come to this world to be lover of wealth and riches but rather we are have come to lead a simple life and to serve and accomplish the mission that God has bestowed on us to do and also another thing God is also telling us to recall that we made from the dust of the ground and to dust we shall return because nothing in this world is permanent everything will pass away so there is no point in desiring to lead wealthy life and be selfish because once we die we cannot get the gained wealth back but rather it will be full loss for us which we have to pass on to others living in our family.

Jesus is telling us that there is no comfort in being selfish because at the end of the day everything will fade. God is not telling us that to have riches is bad but to have and share it with whomever possible because there are always blessings and joy in sharing but there is no peace and light in being selfish minded but suffering and darkness.

Dear brothers and sisters we have to reflect deeper on selfishness about how to get rid of it in our daily life so that we may grow in God’s kingdom.

 We cannot lead a proper spiritual life if we are living in selfishness but rather there will be distraction and disturbance going on in our lives due to cultivating selfishness. In the bible Jesus tells us to share and teach the gospel of life to everyone but eventually we are selfish enough to do so.

Selfishness blocks the confidence required to spread the word of God but humbleness and generosity is the opposite of selfishness it helps us to exercise our spirituality.

So dear brothers and sisters let us not become selfish but rather be kind and generous to everyone because when we do every Good deeds we will be blessed by God abundantly. The main thing we need to understand in this topic is that selfishness is a deadly sin that gives birth to many other deadly sins which we need to cut off it from our life so let us ask Gods help and let us make up our mind to serve others by being kind and loving to them and not always think about ourselves, when we accomplish this we will learn the aspects of life and we will also find the way easy to move forward in our spiritual life. amen.

TOPIC: THE WORD OF GOD

Dear brothers and sisters,

Most of us are taking God word for granted because we are not having knowledge of God’s word. The word of God is known as the Bible ,in the Bible we get to know so many things we did not know . The main reason behind why we don’t read the bible is laziness and lack of interest

Dear brothers and sister let us not be lazy enough to miss the opportunity of our life which God gave to save our soul. If we have to come into spirituality we have to begin to move forward by reading the word of God daily without fail. Now days we are reading the bible as a story because most have no determination to do so, so that is why we cling to our moods, whenever we are in good mood we read the bible once in a while.

Dear brothers and sisters bible is not a story but it is the Word of God given to man to show the wrongs which will lead to disaster and also through Bible God shows us the end result of every sin. When we read the bible every day we will realize what we are doing in our daily life. Today God inspires us not to read the bible in our style with all mood swings and wishes but God tells us to be humble and read his word everyday without fail with dedication and determination because if we read the bible with dedication there are no second thoughts of changing our mind.

We should not get distracted by the situation around us but we must stand firm by our decision because the devil can come any moment to snatch away our dedication to God and His Word.

 Many have started to read the bible but finished even half of it, why is this? It is because there is no confidence and determination inside us.

 we always cannot work according to our own ways we need to be firm in our decision. Now dear brothers and sisters we need to find many hidden treasures in the bible it is like a treasure hunt, we will surely get these hidden treasures by reading it carefully and also before reading we must ask the Holy Spirit to help us to understand while we read the bible. The other important thing that we need to know in our spiritual life if the word of God is powerful then it is the sign for others that we have made the Word of God that is Jesus centre of our life. Many of us do not understand the seriousness of doing what is to be done. In the bible regarding the word of God St. Paul tells us in his letter to the Hebrews.

Hebrews 4: 12:- Indeed the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two edged sword piercing until it divides the soul from spirit joints from marrow; it is able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.

So dear brothers and sisters let us understand the word of God deeply and know the power of it. We saw how Paul explains to us about the power of the word of God. The word God is living and not dead but many don’t understand it carefully that is why we are making the word of  God dead in our lives but the word of God is always living it is like a candle but not a normal candle but it is an unique candle that never stops burning but keeps lighting forever.

In this conquest we need to understand that we too have a candle in our spiritual life but many a times we keep it off and dead and that why we are not able to understand anything so therefore we must understand the word of God with all our heart and take the light from the word of God and in the same way we too will keep burning in the love of God. Next we need to know the word of God is always active and never inactive it always work night and day to bring us to the love of God and also into conversion of our soul. The word of God is even expressed as “sharper than any two edged sword piercing until it divides the soul from the spirit joint from marrow”. The word of God is so powerful that it is the sharpest and will pierce us not physically but spiritually it will divide the soul from the spirit, the word of God tries to bring us out of evil by dividing us from our old ways and it will make space for us to start a new beginning. Lastly we also need to know that the word of God is able to judge the thoughts and intentions of our heart.

Therefore dear brothers and sisters when we are in spirituality we commit sins when we are not aware of it so many times but the word of God makes a way for us and makes us to understand the things of what are the failures but many a times we have ignored our consciences we are lazy many a times to come out of our problems.

God is so merciful and kind we need to thank Him for all his efforts to bring us to spirituality but we need to ask pardon of God for ignoring his call for us.

The most important thing in this topic we need to know is that the word of God are the words which God speaks but the miracles is done to inspire us is the work of the Holy Spirit.

So dear brothers and sisters let not miss this great chance that God has given us but rather let us receive the word of God in our life and let us keep our spiritual candle burning till end of our life and will be blessed by God and we will also be satisfied by our good deeds. Amen.
