Catholic reflections, By Ryan Pinto.

TOPIC: CREDIT AND DEBIT IN

SPIRITUAL LIFE

When we go for bank or supermarket we use credit or debit card to pay for what we have bought. In the same way in spiritual life we have credit and debit .let us learn the meaning of these two words

Credit: - enjoy today and suffer tomorrow.

Debit: - suffer today and enjoy tomorrow.

So in spiritual life it is our decision whether we want to either sin or later suffer fire of purgatory or hell [credit] or try to stop sin, pray, do fasting, obeying God’s commandments, go through sufferings and do good to all people and then go to heaven the place where we are with God rejoicing every moment.

The Lord invites us to take the right choice that is to have debit because it’s better to go through persecution, sufferings and problems on earth than rather to suffer in purgatory temporarily or in hell permanently. God has given us freewill so that we will be independent and faithful to Him in our life and try to serve Him. When we are born God has already planned a mission for all us and therefore we are put to test and if we pass the test then our mission starts but even in mission there will tests and that is where we become ready and mature enough in our spiritual life. It’s true that humans have tendency of sinning because we are always lazy to try to overcome.

We can overcome our sins if we seek God’s help to get rid of our physical laziness. The point is that we learn to work on it; God will not help us if do not try our level best, first work for it and then we will be successful. This is how our mind and body should work even some of the saints they suffered for Christ and they were rewarded for their right choice [debit] and for their faithfulness in God and now are rejoicing in heaven. Therefore the worldly situations should not affect us more than God we have to always be ready to sacrifice anything to God. In bible God told Abraham to sacrifice his son Isaac as a burnt offering to him. God wanted to put Abraham to test and see if he loved God more than is son. The bible showed us how much love and obedience Abraham had for God that’s why God blessed Abraham.

Therefore when we have to make right choices automatically good results also will come back to us; God will reward us if try and work for the things we want and God will not help us if we are lazy then we can’t change and then we have to suffer in the fires purgatory or hell after our death. Therefore Jesus tells us in the bible that our tongue has power of words and therefore we have to be careful about what speak because whatever we speak has power if we speak bad things than there is judgement for all the bad words we have spoken. Therefore we have to respect God in every in every situations of our life. Jesus gave the commandment in the bible that to love the Lord our God with all our heart with all our soul and with all our strength.

We have to love God with all our heart that is following him whole heartedly which is honouring God fully without any doubt. We have to think about the consequences of what we are going to do and then we have to do.

God gives us gift not to use it for our selfish benefits but for us to change and also change others around us.

John 3:30—Jesus must increase and I must decrease.

Therefore Jesus love should increase in life and Jesus should be first in our life then all other worldly desires should decrease, for we are servant of God and God is our master who is converter our soul from sin to Grace. Amen.

Catholic reflections, by Ryan Pinto

Topic : God

Who is God?

God is our creator and savior so thoughtful and kind always. God is a spirit which cannot be seen by the bare eyes of human. God is almighty, omnipresent, without sin and the creator of all things. In heaven we can see God He is kind but the one who sins has to take its own punishment either in purgatory [for a certain time] or hell [forever]. God forgives always and we should be very thankful that He is a forgiving God but we always abandon him by sinning. But God always makes us happy.

God’s wonderful & good works

God created the heaven, the earth, the seas, skies, universe, mountains, humans etc. Therefore how much we try to thank Him it is not enough, We instead of thanking Him and being with Him we keep on sinning and turn away from Him and making Him very sad.

Therefore we must try to comfort God and make Him happy and we should everyday try to pray Divine mercy Chaplet for the sinful world by asking God’s forgiveness on behalf of the world and prayers for all the souls in purgatory

By Saint Gertrude

O eternal father I offer you the wounds of your son Jesus in union with the masses said throughout the world today for all the souls in purgatory for sinners  everywhere for sinners in the universals church and for those in my own home and within my family. Amen.

If we say this pray many souls will be relieved from their sufferings in purgatory and join God in heaven and will pray for us. Therefore we must thank God for being kind and generous to us and for giving us good life and must ask God to give us the gift of self control so that we may not sin and always be faithful to Him always.

God is a loving God but He also punishes the wicked. Jesus also came to call the sinners and not the righteous because the righteous have become good but the sinners needed Gods spiritual help to change their sinful life because it is not easy for a person to get converted but everything becomes easy by the help and grace of God. Therefore let us make our daily routine to always please God and never to make God sad.

Remember without God you cannot do or change things only by the grace of God we can. So dear brothers and sister let us love God more than anything because He has kept us safe throughout our lives and remember there is no one who is more  loving, kind, generous, forgiving, sharing and comforting than God only . Amen.
