TOPIC: THE WORD OF GOD

Dear brothers and sisters,

Most of us are taking God word for granted because we are not having knowledge of God’s word. The word of God is known as the Bible ,in the Bible we get to know so many things we did not know . The main reason behind why we don’t read the bible is laziness and lack of interest

Dear brothers and sister let us not be lazy enough to miss the opportunity of our life which God gave to save our soul. If we have to come into spirituality we have to begin to move forward by reading the word of God daily without fail. Now days we are reading the bible as a story because most have no determination to do so, so that is why we cling to our moods, whenever we are in good mood we read the bible once in a while.

Dear brothers and sisters bible is not a story but it is the Word of God given to man to show the wrongs which will lead to disaster and also through Bible God shows us the end result of every sin. When we read the bible every day we will realize what we are doing in our daily life. Today God inspires us not to read the bible in our style with all mood swings and wishes but God tells us to be humble and read his word everyday without fail with dedication and determination because if we read the bible with dedication there are no second thoughts of changing our mind.

We should not get distracted by the situation around us but we must stand firm by our decision because the devil can come any moment to snatch away our dedication to God and His Word.

 Many have started to read the bible but finished even half of it, why is this? It is because there is no confidence and determination inside us.

 we always cannot work according to our own ways we need to be firm in our decision. Now dear brothers and sisters we need to find many hidden treasures in the bible it is like a treasure hunt, we will surely get these hidden treasures by reading it carefully and also before reading we must ask the Holy Spirit to help us to understand while we read the bible. The other important thing that we need to know in our spiritual life if the word of God is powerful then it is the sign for others that we have made the Word of God that is Jesus centre of our life. Many of us do not understand the seriousness of doing what is to be done. In the bible regarding the word of God St. Paul tells us in his letter to the Hebrews.

Hebrews 4: 12:- Indeed the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two edged sword piercing until it divides the soul from spirit joints from marrow; it is able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.

So dear brothers and sisters let us understand the word of God deeply and know the power of it. We saw how Paul explains to us about the power of the word of God. The word God is living and not dead but many don’t understand it carefully that is why we are making the word of  God dead in our lives but the word of God is always living it is like a candle but not a normal candle but it is an unique candle that never stops burning but keeps lighting forever.

In this conquest we need to understand that we too have a candle in our spiritual life but many a times we keep it off and dead and that why we are not able to understand anything so therefore we must understand the word of God with all our heart and take the light from the word of God and in the same way we too will keep burning in the love of God. Next we need to know the word of God is always active and never inactive it always work night and day to bring us to the love of God and also into conversion of our soul. The word of God is even expressed as “sharper than any two edged sword piercing until it divides the soul from the spirit joint from marrow”. The word of God is so powerful that it is the sharpest and will pierce us not physically but spiritually it will divide the soul from the spirit, the word of God tries to bring us out of evil by dividing us from our old ways and it will make space for us to start a new beginning. Lastly we also need to know that the word of God is able to judge the thoughts and intentions of our heart.

Therefore dear brothers and sisters when we are in spirituality we commit sins when we are not aware of it so many times but the word of God makes a way for us and makes us to understand the things of what are the failures but many a times we have ignored our consciences we are lazy many a times to come out of our problems.

God is so merciful and kind we need to thank Him for all his efforts to bring us to spirituality but we need to ask pardon of God for ignoring his call for us.

The most important thing in this topic we need to know is that the word of God are the words which God speaks but the miracles is done to inspire us is the work of the Holy Spirit.

So dear brothers and sisters let not miss this great chance that God has given us but rather let us receive the word of God in our life and let us keep our spiritual candle burning till end of our life and will be blessed by God and we will also be satisfied by our good deeds. Amen.

Topic: Anger

Dear brothers and sisters anger is one of the deadly sins that causes a lot of damage in our lives and the life of others. We all get angry due to many reasons and situations in our life, but there are limits in our life in getting angry but crossing the limit causes problem for others and for us also.

So we need to set our minds and concentrate in our spiritual life to achieve success in our heavenly life on this earth. God is inspiring us today that we must be patient enough to face the problems and situations we have, while many of us don’t think further enough so that is why we take wrong decisions in our life and suffer long.

The main reason behind why anger comes in our daily life is because of being impatient and while doing so we get angry easily. Anger comes yes, but there are terms and conditions on the basis of how we deal with it because many of us aren’t aware of the damage caused. By being angry it can cause internal and physical damages. By doing these we can never move forward in our spiritual life plus we create damages in our lives so that is why at the end of the day we will have to suffer in the eternal fires of hell. Anger comes but self control must be developed in order to overcome otherwise we will be in danger by continuing to live in anger.

We need to understand that anger has three forms in which we are not aware most of the times one is thinking secondly speech and thirdly violence. Now let us reflect on these three forms, the first one thinking when someone hurts us, says something bad or gives trouble we get effected by it and that is the reason we think all kinds of bad things about that person that also counts as sins but drastically it shows that there is no sense of spirituality inside us. When we are Gods children we need to act like one and think in a different angle because the devil is waiting to devour us and he tries many ways to make us irritated and angry but we must stick towards the love of God and not fall into the devils trap.

Now the second form of anger we need to understand is that many of us are ruff and rude in our speeches when we talk to the surrounding people around us in contrasts we use a lot of abusive words which we will have to give account on the day of judgement that is why we need to have patience and have control over our ways of speech. We ignore many because ignorance shows anger and hatredness and while do such things we displease God plus we create a burden in our life so we need to change our manner of speech so that we can be polite and patient.

Third one is physical damage dear brothers and sister why has murder become a common today in these present times? The answer we get is anger and jealously because excessive anger people aren’t able to control it so that is why damage, injury and murder take place.

So dear brothers and sisters self control is must in our lives otherwise we will fall in to greater trouble after death. Jesus is telling us today that there is no peace in being angry because in the bible it is said that our anger does not produce Gods righteousness in our life because we cannot be righteous and be angry but we have to choose any one path in the way of life.

So we need to keep in check the progress of self control in our life by asking the Holy Spirit to help us because self control and patience are the fruit of the Holy Spirit and we should be alert in our life and be cautious about the traps set by evil one and by doing so we can find a way to enter into the kingdom and love of God.

Love also is an important part of our life we need to cultivate and we will be blessed and be joyful always. Amen.

Topic: Repentance

Dear brothers and sisters,

Now a day’s repentance is missing in our lives and without repentance we cannot enter the kingdom of God.

Three reason behind why we don’t repent

1. Not believing completely in God,

2. Having pride

3. Sin.

Now firstly we Christians aren’t paying any attention to our spiritual life and are distracted most of the times when we pray. We think that through the sacraments we are known as Catholics, we all should know that  sacraments are important for a Catholics but a true Catholic is the one who leads his spiritual life with dedication, faith and devotion in Jesus Christ but many of us of ignorant and we call ourselves as Catholics only from the outer appearance but inside us there are no values of Catholic teachings in our life .

 

Dear brothers and sister we need to change because without repenting we cannot change ourselves. Another deadly thing that doesn’t allow us to come closer to God is pride. Pride is one of the seven deadly sins which destroys many of us because when we are full of pride we think that we are greater than God .we have to repent and ask Gods pardon for the sins committed, from pride nothing is gained but a full loss.

Most of us are struggling with one or the other sins in our life and there is no one in this world that has not sinned. Dear brothers and sisters God is telling us today that we all are not perfect, yes all of us aren’t perfect but God is inspiring us today to change our minds and work hard towards perfection by the act of repentance.

Failures happen in life but we should not live in failures always we should get out of it and repent. It is very difficult to repent but we must make up our mind and  leave this sinful worldly thoughts and believe in God ,change ourselves because if we don’t repent today tomorrow we are going to suffer. We need to repent as soon as possible and not delay the great chance that God has given us because we do not know when death will come.

Repentance is a transformation of one’s self from the old sinful life to a new life of love and grace where there is light and goodness.

 

Dear brothers and sisters let us not take our chance for granted and become lazy but rather let us work hard to achieve the chance of transformation of a new life of Gods great love. Amen.
